Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerwazy Guz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pappy Roofie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerwazy Guz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gerwazy Guz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pappy Roofie! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Roofie looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Guz looks to score with a jab to the body but Roofie is just out of range. Guz listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Pappy Roofie has been cut. Guz gets tackled into the cage by Roofie. Roofie maintains the clinch. Guz tries to stall but Roofie uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Guz lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Roofie. Roofie swings wildly with an uppercut but Guz uses good head movement to avoid it. Roofie is trying to push Guz away but Guz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Guz misses with a hook to the ribs.
Guz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Roofie takes one on the button. Roofie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Guz throws a right and a left that Roofie avoids nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roofie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Roofie tries to close the distance and clinch but Guz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Roofie tries to clinch up. Horrible takedown by Roofie or perhaps it was just good defense by Guz which made him look bad. Guz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roofie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guz's guard. Roofie wants to get up but he can't break Guz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roofie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Guz looking to control.
Guz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roofie is one step ahead there. Guz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Guz looking for a sweep. Not yet Guz, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Gerwazy Guz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Guz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Roofie manages to avoid it. Roofie wants to clinch. The fighters circling - Guz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Guz misses the shot to the body. Roofie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guz swats him away and circles back towards the center. Guz keeps the fight on the outside. Roofie dives in and grabs Guz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Guz pushes down on Roofie's head and hops out. Roofie drives through and clinches with Guz against the cage.
Guz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Roofie avoids it. This has been an exciting period of action! Roofie misses with the head strike.
Roofie displaying some good clinch control by pressing Guz up against the cage. Guz stalls. Guz goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roofie is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Roofie misses with a punch on the inside.
Guz is looking to break free of the clinch but Roofie has double underhooks. Guz breaks the clinch.
Roofie is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Roofie tries to clinch up but Guz circles away and keeps his distance. Guz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roofie. Gerwazy Guz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pappy Roofie. Guz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Roofie on the side of the head. Guz thows a body shot but no joy. Guz with a nice cross. Guz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Roofie is looking to clinch. Guz throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pappy Roofie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guz swings for the body but Roofie moves out of range.
Roofie misses with a few strikes there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roofie avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Roofie is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Roofie takes one on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roofie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Guz tries to avoid it but Roofie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Guz to the ground. Guz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A big left from Guz misses. Roofie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roofie tries to close the distance and clinch but Guz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Roofie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guz swats him away and circles back towards the center. Roofie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Guz.
Guz throws a jab but it's blocked by Roofie. Roofie shoots in and bounces Guz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Guz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gerwazy Guz dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pappy Roofie's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Guz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Roofie tries to clinch up. Guz swings for the body but Roofie moves out of range.
Roofie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Roofie wants to take a breather but Guz is having none of it. Roofie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Guz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Roofie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Guz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Roofie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Pappy Roofie was stalling too much, according to the referee. Roofie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Roofie shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Guz eats them both and turns towards Roofie to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Gerwazy Guz has been cut. Guz moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. The fighters circle momentarily. Guz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Guz throws a nice looking combination but Roofie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Roofie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guz swats him away and circles back towards the center. Roofie tries to clinch but Guz moves away and Guz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Roofie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Roofie pushes Guz up against the cage in a clinch. Guz misses with a punch on the inside.
Guz lands a hook that snaps the head of Roofie backwards. Roofie lands an uppercut. A short left from Guz. Roofie stalling in the clinch but Guz improves position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. With the fighters up against the cage, Guz throws an elbow but misses. Guz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A jab from Guz finds it's way through Roofie's defenses. Guz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Roofie moves away. Guz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That has opened up Pappy Roofie's cut even more. Nice takedown defense from Guz. No joy for Roofie on that attempt. Roofie tries to clinch but Guz is having none of it. Gerwazy Guz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Guz misses with a series of wild punches.
Roofie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Roofie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guz's waist but Guz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Roofie off to one side. Gerwazy Guz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pappy Roofie. Roofie shoots in but no luck this time. Roofie is breathing heavily. Roofie dodges the punch combination from Guz.
Guz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Roofie is rocked! Guz chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Roofie is still on wobbly legs! Can Guz finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Roofie seems to have recovered his senses. Roofie dives in and grabs Guz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Guz pushes down on Roofie's head and hops out. A cross from Guz lands. Guz looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Guz drops Roofie with a huge uppercut! Roofie drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Guz is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gerwazy Guz! Gerwazy Guz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
