Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lyon Du (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garry Dupuis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Du comes to the cage accompanied by Du Hast. Dupuis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Infected by DJ Coone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lyon Du! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Garry Dupuis! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Du tries to clinch up. Nice defenses there by Dupuis. Du shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Du moves in looking to clinch but Dupuis pushes him off. Dupuis misses with a series of wild punches.
Dupuis swings away with a leg kick that misses. Du connects with the punch. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Du has managed to clinch.
Dupuis is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Du is keeping busy. Dupuis seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Du lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dupuis backwards. Du breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Du lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Du closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Du cracks Dupuis with a nice body shot. Dupuis lands with a short shot to the head. Du lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Du controlling the pace for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dupuis can do anything to dispel that myth. Dupuis is desperately trying to improve his position but Du has a good base and remains in mount. Du scoring with strikes but Dupuis is staying in there. The crowd cheers as Du lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dupuis doesn't seem phased though. Du shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dupuis's guard. Du stops Dupuis from standing up. Du postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dupuis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Du passes into half guard. Du throwing shots but Dupuis is blocking nicely. Du seems to be working for a kimura but Dupuis defends the submission attempt. Du is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dupuis can do to turn this around? Dupuis tries to kick Du off but Du keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
