Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leighton Van Kraysal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hardin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leighton Van Kraysal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Hardin! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardin shoots and misses and Van Kraysal holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Van Kraysal blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hardin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Van Kraysal gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hardin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Van Kraysal slowing the pace effectively. Van Kraysal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hardin tries a head kick but it misses.
Hardin misses with a takedown attempt and Van Kraysal counters with a shoot takedown. Hardin fights it but they end up in guard. Leighton Van Kraysal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Hardin. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hardin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Van Kraysal controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Kraysal looking to pass the guard. Van Kraysal controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Van Kraysal's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Leighton Van Kraysal. Hardin has his takedown stuffed and Van Kraysal counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hardin's guard now. Van Kraysal passes into half guard. Van Kraysal not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hardin tries to roll over but Van Kraysal keeps him under control. Van Kraysal works his way into full mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Van Kraysal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Van Kraysal scoring with strikes but Hardin is staying in there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hardin looks gassed! That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Kraysal cracks Hardin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hardin is in a horrible position here. Van Kraysal smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Kraysal lands a heavy elbow. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Van Kraysal cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Van Kraysal is in the full mount, landing strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Van Kraysal with good strikes from the mount here! Van Kraysal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Van Kraysal scoring with strikes but Hardin is staying in there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Van Kraysal looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Leighton Van Kraysal dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Van Kraysal is looking to land body kicks. Hardin fails with the takedown and Van Kraysal counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hardin won't be happy with that. Hardin takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Hardin tries to improve position but can't. Leighton Van Kraysal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Van Kraysal takes a little break here. Hardin wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Hardin is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Kraysal seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hardin for as long as he can get away with. Van Kraysal landing a few strikes. Van Kraysal taking a breather here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Van Kraysal lands a decent elbow from side control. Van Kraysal working the ground and pound. Van Kraysal is trying to get an arm triangle but Hardin is defending well. Hardin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Kraysal cracks Hardin with a big right hand but Hardin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Van Kraysal is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hardin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Van Kraysal is working Hardin over with some ground and pound from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leighton Van Kraysal dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Van Kraysal throws a nice looking combination but Hardin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hardin with a lazy takedown attempt and Van Kraysal counters by moving into the clinch. Van Kraysal lands a right hand. Hardin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hardin tries to clinch and Van Kraysal counters with a nice double leg into guard. Van Kraysal passes Hardin's left leg - he's now in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Van Kraysal connects with a nice short shot to Hardin's temple. Van Kraysal trying to pass the guard but Hardin defending well. Van Kraysal takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Van Kraysal is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hardin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Van Kraysal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Mike Hardin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Leighton Van Kraysal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Van Kraysal is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hardin can do to turn this around?
