Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janis Piternieks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlovski has chosen Sex, God, Sex by the SWANS as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlovski shoots in and drives through. Piternieks sprawls well.
Piternieks swings for the body but Arlovski moves out of range.
Piternieks lands a leg kick that knocks Arlovski off balance momentarily.

Piternieks fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Arlovski has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Piternieks shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Arlovski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Piternieks on his heels. He'll look to pass Piternieks's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Janis Piternieks.
Piternieks throws a low kick, looking for Arlovski's leg but Arlovski calmly moves out of range.
Piternieks shoots in looking for a takedown but Arlovski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Piternieks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A punch lands to the side of Arlovski 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Arlovski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Arlovski seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Piternieks is holding on tight.
Arlovski has hold of Piternieks's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Piternieks manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Arlovski has control of Piternieks's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Piternieks regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Arlovski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Piternieks turns into him and now he's in Arlovski's guard.
Piternieks makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Arlovski has his feet on Piternieks's thighs here. He's pushed Piternieks off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Piternieks screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
