Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rolls Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan - The Mystery Of Chessboxin. Neck is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Deep Purple - Bad Attitude. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neck scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gracie punishes Neck's body with a nice straight punch.
Gracie scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Neck looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Neck fails with the takedown

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Neck won't be happy with that.

Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neck swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neck working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neck has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

Neck uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Neck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Neck fails to land the takedown.

Neck shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rolls Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pencil Neck.
Gracie fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Neck.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie throws a body punch but Neck moves out of range.
Neck connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rolls Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Gracie does no damage.
Gracie just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie is looking to wear down Neck with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Gracie throws a lazy right hand but Neck sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Neck moves into the clinch.
Gracie misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gracie throws a punch but it's blocked by Neck.

Neck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Neck with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Neck tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rolls Gracie will probably get the nod.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Pencil Neck wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Neck counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gracie is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neck has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gracie to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Neck is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gracie pulls down on the head and he's put Neck to sleep! This one is all over!
