The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smokeleaf lands a head kick. Steele smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Raffer Steele has been cut.
Smokeleaf tries a head kick but it misses.
Steele lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steele.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smokeleaf looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smokeleaf is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smokeleaf pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Steele darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Jesus Smokeleaf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smokeleaf pushes off an throws an elbow but Steele leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Raffer Steele's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Jesus Smokeleaf decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
