Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Craig David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jj McQuade!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David throws a nice outside leg kick.
David uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McQuade.
A looping hook to the body misses from McQuade. David does a little dance to reset his feet.
David lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Jj McQuade has been cut.
David on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

David closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McQuade dodges the ground and pound from David.
McQuade is trying to control David's posture but David avoids it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McQuade on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McQuade is not content to let David control the position.

David tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

McQuade tries to buck David off but David is having none of it.
David lands a few punches from side control.
McQuade is pushing David's head away, looking to escape. David manages to hold on to the position though.
McQuade can't do much from the bottom here.

David working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on McQuade's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
David is chipping away with strikes.
McQuade wants to control but David postures up.
McQuade tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but David wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
David takes a little break here. McQuade wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
David has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
David lands a nice forearm strike.
McQuade is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
David has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for McQuade!

David is landing with some decent strikes but McQuade is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

That has opened up Jj McQuade's cut even more.
BOOM! David connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jj McQuade's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
