Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Saddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Handles Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saddi comes to the cage accompanied by Duran Duran - The Wild Boys. Mcgee has chosen Otis by: Jay-Z f. Kanye West as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Saddi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Handles Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saddi lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Saddi misses with a body kick.
Bob Saddi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saddi misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mcgee counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mcgee takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mcgee blocks the body kick.
Saddi throws a series of strikes that have Mcgee backpedaling.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mcgee clinches.

Saddi manages to break the clinch.

Mcgee rushes Saddi and presses him up against the cage.
Mcgee landing knees to the head.


It looks like Bob Saddi has been cut.
Mcgee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Saddi fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Saddi throws a head kick but Mcgee moves out of range.
Saddi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Saddi has Mcgee up against the cage in a clinch.

Saddi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Saddi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Saddi wants it to stay on the feet.
Saddi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mcgee.
Saddi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Saddi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcgee circles away quickly and effectively.
Mcgee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saddi avoids it really well and circles away.
Bob Saddi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Handles Mcgee.
Saddi just misses with a punch to the body.
Saddi throws a sloppy head kick and Mcgee moves out of range easily.

Mcgee plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Mcgee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Saddi, pushing him back against the cage.
Saddi throws an elbow that misses.
Saddi landing some nice looking knees to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saddi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcgee.
Mcgee goes for a takedown attempt but Saddi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mcgee.
A head kick by Saddi misses

and Mcgee counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Saddi!
Saddi is trying to escape the mount.
Mcgee avoids the attempt from Saddi to control.

Mcgee breaks from Saddi's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Saddi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Saddi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mcgee tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Saddi can't escape the position.
Saddi sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Mcgee is looking for a kimura but Saddi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mcgee to get the leverage.
Saddi trying to control from the bottom.

Mcgee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Saddi wants to improve his position but Mcgee is controlling well.

Saddi is defending against the submission attempts here by Mcgee.
Saddi keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mcgee is trying to work for a kimura but Saddi is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Saddi misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mcgee takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mcgee moves out of range of the body kick from Saddi.
Mcgee tries for a takedown but Saddi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mcgee closes the distance and pushes Saddi back into the cage.
Saddi lands a nice shot to the body.
Saddi looking to slow down the pace here.

Mcgee gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Mcgee is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Saddi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saddi pushes Mcgee off looking to stand but Mcgee dives back in and keeps control.

Mcgee trying to mount his opponent but Saddi defends it.
Mcgee is looking to take a break and control but Saddi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Saddi is trying to get back to full guard.
Saddi wants to control but Mcgee is keeping busy.

Mcgee is looking for a kimura but Saddi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mcgee to get the leverage.
Mcgee sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Saddi defending well though.
Mcgee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Mcgee decides to return to a standing position.
Saddi throws a half hearted mid kick.

Saddi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcgee's guard.

Mcgee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Saddi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saddi looking to sit in guard and control but Mcgee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mcgee tries to free his leg and advance position but Saddi is retaining full guard.
Saddi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Mcgee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Saddi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Saddi has escaped and now he's on top!
Saddi wants to stand and escape but instead Mcgee has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcgee gets to his feet. Saddi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Saddi misses with a low kick.
Saddi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mcgee slips a straight right by Saddi.
Saddi throws a head kick but Mcgee moves out of range.

Mcgee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Saddi is defending against the submission attempts here by Mcgee.

Mcgee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mcgee seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mcgee wants to take a breather but Saddi is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mcgee is working for a submission of some sort.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mcgee seems to be looking for submissions.

Handles Mcgee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Bob Saddi's cut.
That's time! Saddi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


A combination from Saddi does no damage.
Mcgee moves away from the strike by Saddi.
Saddi throws a series of punches but Mcgee avoids them all with ease.

Mcgee clinches up with Saddi and pushes him back against the cage.
Mcgee misses with a punch to the body.
Mcgee lands a body punch in the clinch.

Mcgee turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mcgee manages to end up in side control.
Saddi is trying to control Mcgee's posture but Mcgee avoids it.

Mcgee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Saddi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mcgee's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Mcgee is trying to control the action in half guard but Saddi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Saddi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Saddi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Saddi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mcgee has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mcgee is in all sorts of trouble here.
Saddi looking to ground and pound but Mcgee is blocking nicely.
Saddi is looking to work his way around to Mcgee's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Mcgee can't escape the position.

Mcgee is squirming around, avoiding Saddi's attempts to control the action.
Mcgee is trying desperately to improve position.
Mcgee is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mcgee tries to hold on but Saddi pushes him away.
Mcgee is desperately trying to improve his position but Saddi has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saddi wants to finish this one by submission but Mcgee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Saddi.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mcgee slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Handles Mcgee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mcgee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
