Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Bobideeboo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom comes to the cage accompanied by Texas Lonhorns Fight Song. Bubba Bobideeboo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Bobideeboo!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bobideeboo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boom moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bobideeboo is trying to improve his position.
A lull in the action here as Boom stalls from top position.

We're going to have a standup here because David Boom wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bobideeboo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Boom decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Boom closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boom lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

David Boom has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Bobideeboo clinches up with Boom and pushes him back against the cage.
Boom has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bobideeboo after a bit of a struggle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Boom gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bobideeboo regains guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Boom dominated that round.
That's time! Boom's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bobideeboo leaves Boom with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Boom slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. David Boom wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Boom shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bobideeboo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

David Boom overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Boom controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bubba Bobideeboo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Boom is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

No luck for Boom with that takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Boom tries to score a body lock takedown but Bobideeboo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Boom. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boom has hold of one of Bobideeboo's legs. Bobideeboo is fighting the takedown attempt but Boom gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Boom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bobideeboo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Boom has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee asks Boom politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boom prefers to stall for the moment though.
Boom has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Nice sprawl there from Bobideeboo as Boom shoots in.
Boom will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Boom here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Boom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bobideeboo sprawls well initially but Boom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bobideeboo is trying to control but Boom manages to pass to mount!

This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bobideeboo enables Boom to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bobideeboo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Bobideeboo wants to get back to his feet but Boom passes into half guard.
Bobideeboo looks like he's trying to stand up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bobideeboo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boom wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bubba Bobideeboo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Boom shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bobideeboo as he jumps to the side.
Bobideeboo throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bobideeboo tries for a takedown but Boom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
David Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boom closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bobideeboo's guard.
Bobideeboo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boom controls the pace.
Bobideeboo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Boom.
Bobideeboo shoots for a takedown but Boom saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Boom tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Boom showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boom, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
