Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kev Embo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powers has chosen Let's do this now by KoRn as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Larry Powers has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kev Embo's chin.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powers moves into the clinch.
Powers dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Powers has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Embo regains guard immediately.
Embo has his hands on Powers's head, controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Embo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Powers is aware though and is defending well.
Embo has control of Powers's left arm, preventing Powers from doing any damage.
Powers wants to control from the top but Embo keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Powers pushes Embo up against the cage in a clinch.
Powers tries to work over Embo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Powers.
Powers stalling the fight.
Embo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Powers smiles and moves away.

Powers gets a takedown into half guard.
Embo controlling the position well.
Powers wants to control but Embo is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Embo is looking to improve his position.
Embo is concentrating on defense, preventing Powers from advancing position.
Embo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Powers is working away from the top position though.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Powers misses with a looping right.
Embo has his takedown stuffed
and Powers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Embo throws a series of punches but Powers avoids them all with ease.
Powers stuffs the takedown.

Embo is looking to clinch.

Embo tries to clinch but Powers is having none of it.

Embo tries to keep at a distance but Powers has taken the fight into the clinch.

Powers is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Embo can't fight it off and eventually Powers manages to take the fight to the floor. Embo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Embo pulls Powers in close to his closed guard and prevents Powers from doing any damage or advancing position.
Powers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Embo is trying to keep Powers in close.
Powers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Embo is on top in guard.
Powers wants to stand but Embo is controlling the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Powers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Embo stops Powers from standing up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Embo trying to control the position from guard on top but Powers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Powers wants to stand and escape but Embo is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Embo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Powers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Embo!

Embo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Powers is working away from the top position though.
Embo tries to get to full guard but Powers has control of the leg.
Embo wants to control but Powers is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Embo controls Powers momentarily but Powers frees himself.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Embo has his feet on Powers's thighs here. He's pushed Powers off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Powers screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
