Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Frank Mir has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frank Mir seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A combination from Mir does no damage.
Mir throws a hook but Snow avoids it easily.
Snow avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mir misses with a looping right.
Mir thuds his right hand into Snow's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Snow slips under a jab from Mir.
Snow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mir.
Mir takes a swing at Snow's ribcage but misses.
Mir looks to score with a jab to the body but Snow is just out of range.
A big right from Mir misses.
Mir jabs at Snow's body.
Mir misses with a straight right.
Mir lands with an overhand left.
Frank Mir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mir throws a leg kick

and Snow counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mir's guard now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Snow is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Snow postures up in Mir's guard and throws a big left but Mir blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mir preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Mir looking for a guillotine here but Snow defends easily.

Mir is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Snow looking to pass the guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Snow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Snow is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Snow sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mir's guard.

Mir is breathing heavily.

Mir is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snow pulls his head out easily.

Let's hope that Snow has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Snow missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Snow looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mir won't allow Snow to pass to mount.

Snow throwing shots but Mir is blocking nicely.
Snow is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Snow is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mir has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow stalling.

Mir is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snow pulls his head out easily.

Snow has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mir defend it? Snow steps over the head and cranks it - Mir is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Snow!
