Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Alb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Still (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Still has chosen Laveerre - Kaasupää as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Alb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Still!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alb throws an overhand right that lands on Still's shoulder, as Still tries to avoid the shot.
Still uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alb.
Alb scores with a shot to the body.
Alb throws a front kick aimed at Still's knee but Still avoids it well.
Still avoids the head kick by Alb.
Alb with a jab.
Still drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Alb throws a sloppy head kick and Still moves out of range easily.
Still takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Alb throws out a loose jab but Still uses good head movement to avoid it.
A punch combination from Alb misses.
Still ducks under a wild hook from Alb.

and Still counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Alb shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Still defends it nicely.
Alb scores with a hook to the body. Still takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Alb just misses with a punch to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alb goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Still checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Nice elbow from Alb.
Alb is trying to maintain a safe position but Still gets an underhook and turns Alb into the cage.
Still misses with a short punch on the inside.
Still tries to stall but Alb uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Alb will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Still up against the cage.
Alb is looking to control Still's arms but Still gets an underhook and turns him. Now Alb has his back to the cage.
Alb blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Alb scores with a shot to the side of Still's head.
Alb is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Alb tries a knee to the head but Still blocks it.
Still tries a body shot but Alb blocks it.

Alb breaks from the clinch.

Still bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alb is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Alb dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Alb with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Still has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Alb regains guard immediately.

Alb wants to slow Still down by chopping away at his legs.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Alb here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alb, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
