Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Craig Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The High Road. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dixon slaps away a takedown attempt from Anderson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dixon gets underhooks to prevent Anderson's takedown attempt.
Anderson tries to land a knee to the head but Dixon blocks with his arms.

Anderson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dixon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Anderson to the mat. Anderson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Anderson is trying to control the position but Dixon postures up.

Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dixon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dixon controls from within his opponent's guard.
Anderson trying to keep a closed guard but Dixon is proving a slippery customer.

Dixon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dixon wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
Dixon throws a strike but Anderson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Dixon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson is looking to advance position but Dixon won't allow it.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Dixon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson uses his free foot to push down on Dixon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dixon.
Dixon holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Anderson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Anderson wants to control the pace but Dixon is squirming around nicely.

Anderson is really struggling to control Dixon but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Anderson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dixon is looking to escape.

Dixon is squirming around, avoiding Anderson's attempts to control the action.
Dixon is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dixon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Anderson looking to control but Dixon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Anderson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Anderson misses with a takedown attempt - Dixon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dixon checks a low kick from Anderson.

Anderson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Anderson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Dixon is trying to break the clinch but Anderson is controlling him.
Anderson tries to land a knee to the head but Dixon blocks with his arms.
Anderson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Dixon tries to free his leg and advance position but Anderson is retaining full guard.
Anderson looking to control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dixon is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Anderson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dixon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Dixon tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dixon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Craig Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dixon darts in and clinches Anderson up against the cage.
Anderson is trying to drag Dixon to the mat but Dixon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Anderson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dixon gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Dixon has Anderson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dixon pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Anderson tumbling to the mat - Dixon dives into Anderson's guard.

Dixon is squirming around, avoiding Anderson's attempts to control the action.

Dixon bucks Anderson off and manages to get back to his feet!

Dixon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Anderson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Dixon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Anderson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dixon escapes and throws Anderson's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Dixon is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dixon stands up.
Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dixon pinned against the cage. Dixon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Greg Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Anderson.

Dixon instigates a clinch.

Dixon gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Anderson is pulling down on Dixon's head. It's preventing any offense from Dixon, at least for the moment.
Anderson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Anderson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dixon!
Anderson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Dixon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dixon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Anderson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dixon has worked his arm free - good work by Dixon!

Dixon bucks up and tries to throw Anderson off but instead Anderson has got his back!
Anderson looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Dixon covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Anderson.
Dixon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anderson working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Dixon is doing well to defend. Anderson seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Dixon is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Craig Anderson!
Craig Anderson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
