Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ping Petunia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Taylor Ii!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor Ii tries to clinch but Petunia is having none of it.

Petunia misses with a takedown attempt - Taylor Ii sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Taylor Ii instigates a clinch.
Petunia wants to take the fight to the mat but Taylor Ii manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Taylor Ii's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Petunia blocks a head kick by Taylor Ii.
Taylor Ii fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Petunia, pushing him back against the cage.
Petunia is trying to break the clinch but Taylor Ii is controlling him.
Taylor Ii has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Petunia regains guard immediately.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Taylor Ii wants to pass the guard but Petunia is keeping the position.
Taylor Ii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petunia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Taylor Ii wanted to stand there but Petunia had control of the position.

Taylor Ii stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Petunia swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Taylor Ii defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Petunia.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petunia prevents Taylor Ii from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petunia is working for a guillotine from mount but Taylor Ii frees his head quite easily.
Petunia has control of Taylor Ii's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Taylor Ii regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Petunia has hold of Taylor Ii's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Taylor Ii manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Petunia has control of Taylor Ii's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Taylor Ii regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Petunia is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Taylor Ii is surviving well by controlling Petunia's body position as best he can.

Petunia wants to finish this one by submission but Taylor Ii is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Petunia.

Petunia with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Petunia seems to be working for a kimura but Taylor Ii defends the submission attempt.

Petunia wants to free his trapped foot but Taylor Ii is holding on for dear life with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Petunia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Taylor Ii keeps working.

Petunia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Taylor Ii tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Petunia is in Taylor Ii's guard.
Ping Petunia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Petunia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Petunia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taylor Ii swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Petunia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Taylor Ii defends it well.
Petunia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taylor Ii is just riding it out for now. Petunia eventually gives up the hold.
Taylor Ii has one foot on Petunia's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Taylor Ii shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Petunia sprawls well. Petunia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Taylor Ii gets slowly back to his feet.

Taylor Ii misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Petunia tries to keep at a distance but Taylor Ii has taken the fight into the clinch.
Taylor Ii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Taylor Ii fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Petunia avoids it really well and circles away.
Ping Petunia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Taylor Ii.

Petunia looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Petunia is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Taylor Ii has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Taylor Ii is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Petunia locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Taylor Ii is forced to tap!
