Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlitos Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teixeira has chosen It's A Fight as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlitos Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Colin Teixeira! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Junior shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Teixeira's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Junior scoring with punches to the head and body. Junior with a nice head shot there. Teixeira utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Junior throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Teixeira utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Junior working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Teixeira is looking for a triangle but Junior pushes his legs off easily.
Teixeira has Junior pulled in close to control his posture. Teixeira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Junior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Junior manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Junior throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Teixeira works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Junior postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Junior throws a big right hand that misses. Teixeira has his feet on Junior's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Junior is defended easily by Teixeira.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Nice strikes from Junior there. Teixeira kicks off Junior and gets to his feet. Junior shoots in looking for a takedown. Teixeira tries to sprawl out of it but Junior keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Teixeira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Teixeira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Junior as he jumps to the side. Teixeira slaps away a takedown attempt from Junior, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlitos Junior. That's going to take a lot out of him. Junior is breathing heavily. Junior misses with a takedown attempt - Teixeira sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Junior with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Teixeira to counter with a crisp jab. Junior doesn't succeed with the takedown and Teixeira counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Junior thinking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Junior takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Teixeira lands a jab to Junior's midsection. Teixeira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Junior looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Junior on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Teixeira lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Check out the look on Teixeira's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Junior might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Teixeira is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Junior has escaped the position, nice work there. Teixeira wants to control but Junior is keeping him busy. Teixeira connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Junior some visible discomfort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Junior is working to avoid the ground and pound but Teixeira connects with a decent elbow. Junior is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Junior is not content to let Teixeira control the position. Junior takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Junior is looking to regain half guard here but Teixeira keeps moving and retains side control. Teixeira tries for a kimura but Junior is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Teixeira trying to control the action but Junior is working from the bottom. The ground and pound from Teixeira seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Teixeira creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Junior is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Junior on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Teixeira wants to control but Junior is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Junior gets tackled into the cage by Teixeira. Teixeira maintains the clinch. Junior is looking for a takedown. Junior has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Teixeira after a bit of a struggle. Teixeira jumps guard.
Junior landing with the ground and pound. Teixeira preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Teixeira is looking for a triangle but Junior pushes his legs off easily.
Junior lands a couple of digs. Junior throws a big right hand that misses. Junior distracts Teixeira with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Teixeira wants to sweep but no luck. Teixeira is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Junior defends well. Junior is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Teixeira wants to sweep but no luck. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Teixeira looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Junior lands a couple of digs. Teixeira is working an open guard so Junior takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Teixeira gets a double leg takedown into Junior's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Junior avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Junior looking to hit a scissor sweep but Teixeira is one step ahead there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Teixeira trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Junior tries to get out of the position. Teixeira connects with a couple of short punches. Teixeira lands a couple of decent looking shots. Teixeira trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Junior wants to hit a switch here but Teixeira passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Junior there! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Teixeira raining down shots from the mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Colin Teixeira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Junior slaps away a takedown attempt from Teixeira, before circling back to the center of the mat. Horrible takedown by Teixeira or perhaps it was just good defense by Junior which made him look bad. Teixeira throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Teixeira scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Junior tries for a takedown but Teixeira circles away easily and Teixeira counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Junior! Teixeira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Teixeira landing strikes from the mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Teixeira landing strikes from the mount and Junior is in trouble! Junior is trying desperately to improve position. Junior slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teixeira takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Junior tries to roll over but Teixeira keeps him under control. Teixeira is looking for a kimura here.
Teixeira drops an elbow to the side of Junior's head. The fighters are battling for position here. Junior manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Teixeira stands up from guard. Let's bang! Junior has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Teixeira fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Junior sprawls well initially but Teixeira persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Junior is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Teixeira looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Teixeira stands up from half guard. Teixeira shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Junior napping and manages to drive through into side control! Teixeira working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Teixeira has knee on belly and moves into mount. Junior really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Junior taking shots to the head. Junior slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Still in half guard, Teixeira seems content to control. Teixeira works his foot free and advances to mount. Carlitos Junior has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Junior throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Junior is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Junior is squirming around, avoiding Teixeira's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Teixeira is landing with some decent strikes but Junior is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Teixeira raining down shots from the mount! Teixeira working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Junior is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Teixeira putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Teixeira lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that's the end of the fight! Colin Teixeira comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Teixeira has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
