The crowd seem to be enjoying Brewster's choice of entrance music: Way of the Fist. Chad Brewster has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taka Sho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chad Brewster!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Sho.
Brewster lands a nice hook to Sho's body. Sho takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Brewster thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brewster lands a slapping body shot.
Brewster misses with an uppercut.
Brewster blocks the body kick.
Sho thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brewster is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sho.
Sho misses with a kick to the body.
Sho misses with a lunging right hand
and Brewster counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sho goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Brewster scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That kick from Brewster tenderised Sho's leg. Sho is trying to keep his angry face on.

Brewster scores with a body shot.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sho.
Sho takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sho takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sho pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sho lands a leg kick that knocks Brewster off balance momentarily.
Sho lets loose with a powerful body kick. Brewster will feel that in the morning.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sho.


It looks like Chad Brewster has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sho uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brewster.
Brewster looks to land a left hand but Sho moved out of range nicely.

Brewster throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sho moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Brewster attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Sho scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Brewster swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sho throws a leg kick but Brewster sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A left lands for Sho.
Brewster jabs Sho to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Brewster thuds his right hand into Sho's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Brewster displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sho throws out the jab.

Sho bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sho creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brewster sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Sho working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Sho is trying to ground and pound but Brewster uses the momentary lack of control by Sho to regain half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sho lands a nice short elbow.
Brewster moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sho trying to control the position from guard on top but Brewster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sho landing some decent shots from guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sho postures up and lands a big shot to Brewster's brow.

Brewster bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sho's guard.
Brewster throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brewster slips nicely into half guard.

Brewster seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sho is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
