Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kim Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffy Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figueroa comes into the arena with Ride the Lighting blaring out of the sound system. Jefferson has chosen Fette's Vette as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa stuffs the takedown attempt from Jefferson. Jefferson gets slowly back to his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jeffy Jefferson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jefferson wants to take the fight to the mat but Figueroa manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kim Figueroa.
Figueroa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Figueroa wants it to stay on the feet.

Jefferson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Figueroa has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jefferson but great work by Figueroa.

Figueroa remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kim Figueroa really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that New World Order Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
