Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gary Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowman is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Bowman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Henderson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bowman on his heels. He'll look to pass Bowman's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bowman is breathing heavily. Henderson with a flurry of punches that miss. Henderson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Henderson postures up and lands a big shot to Bowman's brow. Henderson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Henderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Henderson lands a couple of elbows. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Henderson is in close to Bowman's body, working some short punches and elbows. Henderson forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson drops an elbow to the side of Bowman's head. Henderson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Henderson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Bowman on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Henderson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bowman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Henderson scores with a couple of nice shots. Henderson not doing much here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Henderson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Henderson wants to work for an arm triangle but Bowman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bowman is rocked! Henderson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Oh Bowman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Henderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

He's hurt bad - Henderson fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bowman from any more punishment! Congratulations to Henderson! Great finish!
