The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gans misses with a double jab.

Irene rushes Gans and presses him up against the cage.
Irene misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Irene.
Irene displaying some good clinch control by pressing Gans up against the cage.
Gans wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Irene keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gans's efforts to push away.
Irene pushes Gans back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Gans wants to get back to striking at distance but Irene won't allow it.

Irene lands a hook that snaps the head of Gans backwards.
Irene lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Irene swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gans is breathing heavily.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Irene.
Irene lands a hook that snaps the head of Gans backwards.

Irene drops Gans onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gans is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Gans is rocked!
