Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eddie Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rufus Soderberg!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn looks for the body kick but Soderberg saw that one coming.
Soderberg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Penn's waist but Penn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Soderberg off to one side.
Soderberg shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Penn lands the left hand.
Soderberg shoots for a double leg takedown but Penn sprawls well. He's pushed Soderberg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Eddie Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rufus Soderberg.
Soderberg shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Soderberg showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Penn is trying to get back to full guard.
Soderberg not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soderberg passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Penn!
Penn tries to lock up and control but Soderberg gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Penn is trying to escape the mount.
Soderberg can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Penn is looking to escape.
Soderberg wants to take Penn's back here but Penn is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Soderberg controlling the pace for now.
Penn is squirming around, avoiding Soderberg's attempts to control the action.

Soderberg thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Penn taking shots to the head.
Soderberg tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Penn blocking the ground and pound.
Soderberg trying to control but Penn is having none of it.
Soderberg misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Penn is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
BOOM! Soderberg connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Soderberg connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Soderberg wants to control but Penn has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Soderberg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Penn's head.
Penn is defending against the submission attempts here by Soderberg.
Soderberg is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Penn defends it well.

Soderberg passes to side control.
Soderberg is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Penn looks calm but he's in trouble here. Soderberg gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Penn is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Soderberg lets go of the hold and Penn can pop his arm back in it's socket.
