These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Fenix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kimbo Slice Jr!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice Jr lands with a nice body punch.
The fighters circling - Fenix throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fenix scoring well with a low kick there.
Fenix thumps Slice Jr with a low kick.

Slice Jr dives in and scores a takedown into Fenix's guard.
Slice Jr stays in close to Fenix's body and controls the position.
Fenix has momentary wrist control but Slice Jr slips an elbow through the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slice Jr cracks Fenix with a solid left hand.
Slice Jr throws a big elbow that misses.
Slice Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Slice Jr with a nice head shot there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fenix has momentary wrist control but Slice Jr slips an elbow through the middle.
Fenix keeping moving, preventing Slice Jr from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slice Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Fenix utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Slice Jr trying to control but Fenix is working from the bottom.
Slice Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but Fenix has wrist control.
Slice Jr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Slice Jr with a flurry of punches that miss.
Slice Jr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Slice Jr looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Fenix on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fenix tries to get out of the position.

Slice Jr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Slice Jr advances position into side control!

Slice Jr has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Fenix is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Slice Jr yanks on the arm and Fenix is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Slice Jr.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kimbo Slice Jr!
Kimbo Slice Jr spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
