Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherry throws a series of strikes that have Jones backpedaling.
Buster Cherry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cherry backs up against the cage.
Jones moves out of range as Cherry strikes.

Cherry shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cherry showed some decent athleticism there.
Cherry lands with a punch from half guard.
Cherry prevents Jones from improving his position.
Cherry takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jones tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Cherry is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cherry pulls his head out easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cherry lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Jones quite badly. Jones pulls Cherry in close trying to recover. Cherry postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Jones on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Jones doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

A very excited looking Buster Cherry rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
