Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aron Petursson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Hurt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aron Petursson! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurt darts in and clinches Petursson up against the cage. Petursson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hurt tries to land a knee to the head but Petursson blocks with his arms.
Hurt is struggling to control the position. Hurt utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Petursson letting Hurt take a breather here. Hurt scores with a shoulder strike. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Hurt manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Petursson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hurt throws a sloppy head kick and Petursson moves out of range easily. Hurt gets a clinch. Petursson avoiding damage as Hurt throws knees to the body.
Hurt throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Petursson blocks it with crossed arms. Hurt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Petursson.
Petursson looks gassed! Hurt connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Aron Petursson has been cut. Hurt lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hurt is keen to just control but Petursson is a slippery customer. Hurt looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Petursson is not content to let Hurt control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hurt in particular looking to stall. Hurt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Randy Hurt. Hurt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hurt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hurt controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petursson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hurt lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Petursson hang on? Hurt content just to control the position here. Hurt looking to secure an arm triangle but Petursson defends it well. Hurt is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Petursson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Petursson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Hurt anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Petursson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Hurt slips an arm under Petursson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Hurt has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Hurt is squeezing on Petursson like an anaconda would it's prey. Petursson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Randy Hurt!
