Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ikki Rokusho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Tillburry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ikki Rokusho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcus Tillburry!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tillburry showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rokusho.
Tillburry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rokusho shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Tillburry throws a front kick aimed at Rokusho's knee but Rokusho avoids it well.

Rokusho moves into the clinch successfully.
A right hook to the body lands for Rokusho.

Rokusho breaks from the clinch.

Rokusho closes the distance and pushes Tillburry back into the cage.

Rokusho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rokusho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tillburry moves forwards but Rokusho connects with a nice, crisp jab.


It looks like Marcus Tillburry has been cut.
Rokusho cracks Tillburry with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Rokusho closes the distance and clinches.
Rokusho lands a left hand that snaps the head of Tillburry backwards.
Rokusho will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tillburry up against the cage.

Rokusho breaks the clinch.
Rokusho works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tillburry throws a right and a left that Rokusho avoids nicely.
Tillburry looks to land a combination but Rokusho avoids it well.

Rokusho fails to land with a series of punches.
Tillburry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tillburry moves away from the strike by Rokusho.
A clash of legs there as Tillburry blocks the low kick.
Rokusho avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rokusho paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rokusho misses with a hook.
Tillburry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rokusho fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rokusho tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tillburry swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rokusho wants to land a leg kick but Tillburry is out of range.
Rokusho misses with a hook. Tillburry ducked under it nicely.
Rokusho throws an off balance right hand
and Tillburry counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Rokusho has managed to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rokusho lands a nice uppercut.
Tillburry's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Rokusho effectively controlling the action here.
Tillburry is trying to pull guard but Rokusho has him pressed against the cage.
Rokusho stalls.
Rokusho stops a takedown attempt from Tillburry.
Rokusho lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tillburry.

Rokusho escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rokusho throws a series of punches but Tillburry moves out of range.
Rokusho swings widly with a right hand
and Tillburry counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Rokusho uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tillburry has time to react.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rokusho doesn't manage to clinch there - Tillburry circles away.
Rokusho misses with the combination.
Tillburry avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rokusho moves out of range of the body kick.
Tillburry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rokusho moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rokusho throws a series of punches but Tillburry moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rokusho tries a low kick but Tillburry avoids it.
Tillburry slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rokusho wants to land a leg kick but Tillburry is out of range.
Tillburry lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ikki Rokusho dominated that round.

Rokusho gets a clinch.
Rokusho lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tillburry or not.
Rokusho lands with a left to the head.
Still in the clinch, Rokusho scores with a nice short uppercut.
Tillburry is looking to break free of the clinch but Rokusho has double underhooks.
Tillburry's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rokusho creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rokusho scores with a nice hook to the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Rokusho.
Tillburry tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rokusho just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tillburry is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rokusho is defending well for now.

Rokusho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rokusho misses with an uppercut. Tillburry saw that one coming.
Tillburry misses with a wild combination.
Rokusho tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tillburry swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Oooooh!!! Rokusho has knocked Tillburry down with a huge combo! Rokusho steps away and waves a wobbly Tillburry back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Tillburry is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tillburry changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Tillburry is still on wobbly legs! Can Rokusho finish him?
Tillburry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tillburry gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Rokusho gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
