Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Insley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Powers!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Insley misses with a few strikes there.
Insley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Powers tries to avoid it but Insley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Powers to the ground. Powers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Insley fails with a takedown attempt.
Powers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Insley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Powers somewhat.
Powers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Powers goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Insley rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Powers's guard! Nice work there by Insley!

Powers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Insley has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Powers to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Insley is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Powers pulls down on the head and he's put Insley to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Frank Powers!
