Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shoop Dat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshi Hakata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shoop Dat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Hakata! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Dat looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dat throws a low kick but Hakata moves out of range easily. Dat moves in looking to clinch but Hakata pushes him off. Dat looks to land a left hand but Hakata moved out of range nicely. Hakata closes the distance and pushes Dat back into the cage. Hakata tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hakata changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dat tries to avoid it but Hakata manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dat to the ground. Dat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hiroshi Hakata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hakata moves out of range of the strikes.

Hakata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hakata shoots in looking for a takedown but Dat manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hakata's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hakata should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. A looping hook to the body misses from Dat. Hakata does a little dance to reset his feet. Hakata gets caught flat footed, as Dat shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Dat sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dat has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dat looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hakata manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dat manages to get himself to full guard.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hakata won't allow Dat to sweep him here. Dat will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dat is trying to control the position but Hakata postures up. Dat is working an open guard so Hakata takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dat tries to clinch there but Hakata circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dat shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hakata napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dat postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hakata manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dat's best efforts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dat dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Hakata is not content to let Dat control the position. Dat trying to mount his opponent but Hakata defends it. Dat not doing much here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hakata is trying to get back to full guard. Dat tries to pass to full mount but Hakata defends it. Hakata takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dat fails in his attempt to clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dat.

Dat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hakata shoots in for a takedown but Dat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hakata uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dat. Dat misses with a looping left. Dat throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Shoop Dat wasn't doing enough on the ground. Dat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hakata's waist but Hakata gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dat off to one side. Hakata slips under a jab.

Dat feints and as Hakata raises his hands in defense, Dat changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dat is looking to work some ground and pound but Hakata has wrist control. Hakata had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dat defends it easily. Shoop Dat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hiroshi Hakata has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Shoop Dat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dat slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Shoop Dat showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dat has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
