These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Washington dives in and scores a takedown into Davidson's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Washington gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nice sprawl there from Washington as Davidson shoots in.
Washington darts in and clinches Davidson up against the cage.
Davidson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Washington drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Washington jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Davidson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Davidson misses with a short punch on the inside.
Davidson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Washington throws a quick inside leg kick.
Washington throws a one two combo.
It looks like Peter Davidson has been cut.
Davidson gets tackled into the cage by Washington. Washington maintains the clinch.
Washington has hold of one of Davidson's legs. Davidson is fighting the takedown attempt but Washington gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Washington slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Washington has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Washington has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Washington decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Washington shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Davidson looks gassed!

Washington working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Davidson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Washington! Submission of the night perhaps?
