Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bram Reiziger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heath McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath McKenzie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bram Reiziger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Heath McKenzie!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reiziger throws a right and a left that both miss.
Reiziger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reiziger blocks a head kick by McKenzie.
McKenzie is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Reiziger.
McKenzie dodges the punch combination from Reiziger.
Reiziger lands a really nice looking cross but McKenzie seems unphased.
McKenzie goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
McKenzie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

McKenzie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McKenzie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McKenzie working the ground and pound effectively.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reiziger wants to hold on but McKenzie pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reiziger is trying to stand up.
A nice elbow there by McKenzie.
McKenzie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Reiziger tries to reverse the position but McKenzie maintains control.
McKenzie looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
McKenzie cracks Reiziger with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
McKenzie raining down shots from the mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McKenzie controlling the pace for now.
McKenzie working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Reiziger tries to lock up and control but McKenzie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Reiziger is trying desperately to improve position.

McKenzie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Reiziger is working to get back to half guard.
Reiziger tries to hold on but McKenzie postures up.
McKenzie landing strikes from the mount.

McKenzie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Reiziger is surviving well by controlling McKenzie's body position as best he can.

McKenzie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
McKenzie looks gassed!

This has been an exciting period of action!
McKenzie thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Reiziger tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McKenzie looking to finish Reiziger with some ground and pound. This is bad for Reiziger!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reiziger in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Reiziger tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heath McKenzie dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Reiziger sizes up McKenzie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

McKenzie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Reiziger tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McKenzie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Reiziger is trying to escape the position but McKenzie is controlling the position.
McKenzie is working Reiziger over with some ground and pound from side control.
Reiziger is looking for a sweep.
McKenzie is working Reiziger over with some ground and pound from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes there by McKenzie.
Reiziger dodges the ground and pound from McKenzie.
Reiziger tries to buck McKenzie off but McKenzie is having none of it.
McKenzie controls the position.

McKenzie is working to tighten is grip on Reiziger's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Reiziger has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McKenzie is really squeezing tight and eventually Reiziger passes out! McKenzie breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Heath McKenzie!
