Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Sorsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Kalongat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Pedro Kalongat enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorsa clinches up with Kalongat and pushes him back against the cage.
Kalongat drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sorsa turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sorsa manages to end up in side control.
Kalongat gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kalongat is looking for a sweep. Sorsa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sorsa is taking a breather. Kalongat says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Sorsa connects with a couple of short punches.
Sorsa thows a big elbow that misses.

Kalongat wants to get back to his feet but Sorsa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kalongat is trying to control the position but Sorsa postures up.
Sorsa distracts Kalongat with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kalongat is looking for a triangle but Sorsa pushes his legs off easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sorsa has hold of one of Kalongat's legs. Kalongat is fighting the takedown attempt but Sorsa gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Kalongat thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sorsa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kalongat misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Sorsa winds up and cracks Kalongat with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kalongat wants to get back to his feet.
Kalongat tries to buck Sorsa off but Sorsa is having none of it.
Kalongat sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Sorsa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Sorsa wants to clinch.

Kalongat lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sorsa!
Kalongat avoids the attempt from Sorsa to control.
Kalongat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sorsa is looking to escape.
Kalongat is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kalongat with a poor takedown
and Sorsa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sorsa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sorsa connects with a couple of short punches.
Sorsa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kalongat throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Kalongat had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sorsa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kalongat Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sorsa's back instead.
Kalongat keeps control of the position as Sorsa tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Kalongat is looking to control Sorsa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kalongat avoid being mounted?

Kalongat might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sorsa kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sorsa shoots in looking for a takedown. Kalongat tries to sprawl out of it but Sorsa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kalongat manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pedro Kalongat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sorsa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kalongat's head.
Sorsa gets to his feet and stands over Kalongat, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Kalongat felt that one! Sorsa unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Kalongat from any more punishment!
