Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denilson Braga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Denilson Braga!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braga tries a head kick but it misses.
Denilson Braga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Braga is trying to defend but Souza finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Braga is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Souza pulls his head out easily.
Souza seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Souza stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Souza dives in and scores a takedown into Braga's guard.
Braga had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Souza defends it easily.
Souza's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Braga is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Souza is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Souza passes Braga's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Braga is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Souza pulls his head out easily.
Souza thows a huge punch but Braga dodges it nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Souza takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Souza seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Braga for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fabio Souza.
Souza looks to score with a jab to the body but Braga is just out of range.
Souza blocks a head kick by Braga.
Braga looks to land a body kick but Souza moved away.
Braga misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Souza drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Souza just content to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Souza thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Souza is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Braga's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souza is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Braga is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Souza has an Americana. Braga didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Souza is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Souza hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Fabio Souza!
During a confident post fight interview, Fabio Souza thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
