The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera gets tackled into the cage by Gravas. Gravas maintains the clinch.
Gravas comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Aloe Vera has been cut.
Gravas lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A right handed body shot lands from Gravas.
Vera tries to throw a body punch but Gravas avoids it by throwing Vera back against the cage.
Gravas lands with a light punch inside.
Gravas using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Vera has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gravas gets through Vera's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Gravas is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Vera's shoulder. That is not cool.
Vera manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gravas's best efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gravas seems to be working for a kimura but Vera defends the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vera is on top in guard.

Aloe Vera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gravas.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
