Stark comes to the cage accompanied by 36 MaFia - Live By Yo Rep. Mickey Rubinksky has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Steven Stark's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steven Stark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mickey Rubinksky!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubinksky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stark takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rubinksky feints a jab promting Stark to slip. Rubinksky then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Stark slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Rubinksky moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Stark closes the distance and clinches up with Rubinksky, looking for a takedown. Stark pushes Rubinksky against the cage but Rubinksky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rubinksky lands with a right hand.
Rubinksky doesn't manage to clinch there - Stark circles away.

Stark drives through with a takedown into Rubinksky's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Stark wants to pass the guard but Rubinksky is keeping the position.
Stark content to stall in guard here.
Rubinksky wants to stand and escape but Stark is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stark is pushing down on Rubinksky's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rubinksky is fighting to maintain full guard but Stark has managed to sneak the leg through.
Stark content to control rather than advance.

Stark is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stark looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stark performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stark is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Rubinksky reverses the position - he's now on top in Stark's guard.
Rubinksky is fighting to break Stark's control of his arms but Stark is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Stark wants to sweep but no luck.
Stark pulls Rubinksky in close to prevent any damage.
Rubinksky would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rubinksky wants to clinch but Stark slips to the side

and Stark counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
You can see the frustration on Rubinksky's face as Stark controls the position.
Rubinksky wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Stark dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


No joy there for Rubinksky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rubinksky lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stark takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Stark doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rubinksky tries to clinch

and Stark counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rubinksky!
Stark will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rubinksky defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Stark.
Stark content just to control the position here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stark has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Rubinksky defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Stark.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stark controlling the pace for now.

Stark is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rubinksky is forced to tap! Great finish!
