With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wrassle Coach!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis shoots and misses

and Coach counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Davis is looking to improve his position.
Davis trying to hold on to Coach's head to control him but Coach postures up.
Davis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Davis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Coach's guard.
Davis wants to control from the top but Coach keeps moving.

Coach had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily.

Davis works his foot free and advances to mount.
Davis tries to control but Coach wriggling away.
Davis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Coach really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Davis wants to control the pace but Coach is squirming around nicely.
Davis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coach's face.

Coach really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Davis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Davis is taking a breather. Coach says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis working over Coach with some ground and pound. Coach looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Coach is not content to let Davis control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is really struggling to control Coach but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Coach is looking to improve his position.
Coach is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Davis lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Davis lands with a punch from half guard.

Davis is looking for a kimura but Coach is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davis to get the leverage.
Coach moves into full guard.
Coach looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there.

Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Coach is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Coach has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.
Davis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Coach's head.

Coach is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Davis defends well.
Davis cracks Coach with a solid left hand.

Davis connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Coach some visible discomfort.
Coach tries to buck Davis off but Davis is having none of it.

Davis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Davis in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Coach looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Davis turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
