Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between KO Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Horse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, KO Kid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Horse!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid misses with a body kick.

Kid closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kid lands in his opponent's guard.
Kid advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Horse looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kid wants to control but Horse is keeping him busy.
Kid stalling away here and it's allowed Horse to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kid with a flurry of punches that miss.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Horse has eaten all the pies!
Horse is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kid trying to control but Horse is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. KO Kid wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Horse takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kid drives through with a takedown into Horse's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kid trying to control but Horse is working from the bottom.
Kid is looking to work some ground and pound but Horse has wrist control.
Kid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kid looking to sit in guard and control but Horse gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kid pulls Horse in close to prevent any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kid is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. KO Kid wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kid avoids the body shot from Horse.
Kid throws a combination that misses
and Horse counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Kid drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kid trying to control the position but Horse is working away.

Kid wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Horse, who protects the arm well.
Kid taking a break here but Horse is having none of it and regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

KO Kid dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Kid shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Horse's guard.
Horse keeping moving, preventing Kid from controlling successfully.

Kid stands and steps away. Horse gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kid throws a left and a right that both miss
and Horse counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kid thinking.

Kid darts in and clinches Horse up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Horse blocks an uppercut.

Kid manages to pull guard.
Kid wants to stand but Horse is controlling the position.
Kid trying to control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of KO Kid.

Kid scores with a takedown into Horse's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kid stands and steps away. Horse gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
KO Kid is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kid changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Horse looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Horse pushes Kid away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kid gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horse prevents Kid from improving position.
Kid trying to control the position but Horse is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. KO Kid wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Nice body punch from Horse.
Kid looks to land a left hand but Horse moved out of range nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kid goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Kid fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Horse sprawls well initially but Kid persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kid trying to control the action but Horse is working from the bottom.
Kid trying to pass the guard but Horse defending well.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kid stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

KO Kid dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Kid moves into the clinch.

Kid pulls guard effortlessly.
Horse trying to control but Kid is working from the bottom.

Horse got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kid has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Horse has managed to get both his arms back between Kid's legs - danger averted.
Horse slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Horse wants to control from the top but Kid keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Crazy Horse wasn't active enough on the ground.
Horse avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kid drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kid wants to control but Horse is keeping him busy.
Kid is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Horse is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kid decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Horse tries to sprawl but Kid drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kid is just content to waste time from the top position. Horse takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kid is looking to work some ground and pound but Horse has wrist control.
KO Kid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kid wants to control from the top but Horse keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of KO Kid.
Horse misses the shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
KO Kid showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kid has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
