Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izaak Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Izaak Waters!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Waters scores with a body shot.
Izaak Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Waters closes the distance and clinches.
Waters is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Waters lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Takeshi backwards.
Waters prevents Takeshi from breaking the clinch.

Takeshi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Waters tries to bum rush Takeshi with a series of wild strikes but Takeshi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Takeshi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Waters's head.
Waters lands with an uppercut that bounces Takeshi off the cage and back into range.


It looks like Ryu Takeshi has been cut.
Takeshi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Waters darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Takeshi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Takeshi closes the distance and clinches.
Takeshi has had enough of the clinch but Waters keeps him there for the moment.
Waters lands a nice uppercut.
Waters lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Waters works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Takeshi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Waters up against the cage.

Takeshi tries to break free but Waters pushes him back against the cage.

Waters makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Takeshi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Waters manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Takeshi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Takeshi throws a head kick that misses.
Waters scores with a sloppy right hand. Takeshi should have avoided that one.

Waters misses with a right hand
and Takeshi counters with a good, hard body kick but Waters shrugs it off.

Waters gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Takeshi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Waters connects with a crisp jab.
Waters throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A combination from Takeshi does no damage.
Takeshi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Waters scores with a decent looking hook.
Waters is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takeshi.
Ryu Takeshi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Waters swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Takeshi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Waters.

Waters misses with a straight right.
Waters with a nice cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Waters throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Takeshi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Waters lands a jab to Takeshi's midsection.
Takeshi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Waters with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Waters lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Waters wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Izaak Waters seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Takeshi misses with a head kick.
Takeshi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


Ryu Takeshi's cut is getting worse.

Takeshi is rocked!
Waters lands a nice shot to the body.
Takeshi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Oh Takeshi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A combination from Waters does no damage.
BOOM! Waters lands a beautiful left hook that drops Takeshi. Takeshi tries to recover but Waters is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Takeshi lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Izaak Waters!
