Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunnah Hadith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bob Dylan - Hurricane. Hadith has chosen Can't Stop - Red Hot Chili Peppers as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hadith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carter pinned against the cage. Carter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hadith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carter scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hadith doesn't seem bothered though.
Hadith throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.

and Carter counters with a good, hard body kick but Hadith shrugs it off.
Hadith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carter defends it nicely.

The crowd cheers as Carter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hadith doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Sunnah Hadith has been cut.
Carter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hadith on the side of the head.
Hadith shoots in but no luck this time.
Rubin Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sunnah Hadith.
Hadith throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range.

Carter tries to bum rush Hadith with a series of wild strikes but Hadith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hadith feints and as Carter raises his hands in defense, Hadith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hadith postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Carter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hadith, into his guard.

Carter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hadith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hadith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carter defends well.
Carter wants to control from the top but Hadith keeps moving.

Hadith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hadith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carter defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Rubin Carter will probably get the nod.

Hadith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hadith drops back, looking for a kneebar! Carter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Carter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Carter!
