The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loman looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Loman lands a couple of elbows.
Loman passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ilves gets back to half guard.
Loman is nestled in close to Ilves, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ilves is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Loman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Loman's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Loman manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ilves's guard. Nice work there by Loman.

Ilves had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Loman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ilves Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Loman's back instead.

Loman tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ilves wants to improve his position but Loman is controlling well.
Loman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Loman winds up and cracks Ilves with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Loman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ilves looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ilves is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Loman pulls his head out easily.
Well, if Loman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ilves moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ilves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Loman is trying to get back to full guard.
Ilves passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Loman!
Ilves avoids the attempt from Loman to control.

Loman is trying to reverse the position but instead Ilves has taken his back - oops!
Ilves has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Loman is defending well but eventually Ilves manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Loman has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
