Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Bailey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dante Wilson! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Wilson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wilson working for a triangle but Bailey defends it easily.
Bailey drops back looking for a leg! Wilson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wilson manages to kick Bailey off! Bailey jumps back into Wilson's guard. Bailey thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bailey passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bailey goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Wilson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bailey's guard! Nice work there by Wilson! Bailey had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bailey Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilson's back instead. Wilson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bailey gets his way!

Wilson stands up and beckons Bailey to join him on the feet. Wilson with a lazy takedown attempt and Bailey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wilson won't be happy with that. Wilson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bailey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Wilson works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bailey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bailey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bailey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bailey wants to pass the guard but Wilson is keeping the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wilson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bailey looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wilson connects with a solid leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that James Bailey will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bailey is trying to reverse the position but instead Wilson has taken his back - oops! Bailey is trapped and Wilson is scoring with shots to the head and body. Bailey turns into Wilson and is now in his guard.

Wilson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bailey!

Wilson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wilson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bailey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wilson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bailey's knee momentarily. Wilson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bailey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wilson sprawls well initially but Bailey persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bailey is trying to work for a kimura but Wilson is defending well.

Wilson is in trouble now - Bailey has advanced to mount! Bailey is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Wilson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bailey fails to advance to Wilson's back. Bailey is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Wilson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Wilson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bailey anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Wilson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bailey slips an arm under Wilson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bailey has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bailey is squeezing on Wilson like an anaconda would it's prey. Wilson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
