The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida tries for a takedown but Eremeev circles away easily
and Eremeev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Machida moves out of range as Eremeev strikes.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Eremeev!
Eremeev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Machida.
A lazy left from Eremeev finds it's target.
Machida shoots in and drives through. Eremeev sprawls well.
Maxim Eremeev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hendo Machida.
Eremeev lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Machida at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Eremeev misses with an uppercut. Machida saw that one coming.
Machida takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Nice straight punches there by Eremeev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Eremeev.
Machida is rocked!
Eremeev throws a shot from downtown. Machida moves away and avoids it.
Machida is still on wobbly legs! Can Eremeev finish him?
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Eremeev drops Machida with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Machida! Eremeev dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

After winning the bout, Maxim Eremeev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
