Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ric Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josef Bergstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davidson comes into the arena with Bury Your Dead blaring out of the sound system. Ric Davidson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ric Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josef Bergstrom! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davidson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bergstrom throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davidson. Bergstrom misses with a left hand and Davidson counters with a nice leg kick. Bergstrom throws a body kick that misses so Davidson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davidson wants to control from the top but Bergstrom keeps moving. Davidson looking to pass the guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Davidson is working hard here to advance position. Bergstrom wants to get back to his feet but Davidson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bergstrom trying to keep a closed guard but Davidson is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bergstrom is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bergstrom wants to stand but Davidson is controlling the position. Bergstrom preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Davidson forces his way into half guard. Bergstrom tries to get to full guard but Davidson has control of the leg. Davidson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The fighters are battling for position here. Bergstrom manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Davidson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bergstrom is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bergstrom has escaped and now he's on top! Bergstrom avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bergstrom trying to control but Davidson is working from the bottom. Davidson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bergstrom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bergstrom avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bergstrom wants to control from the top but Davidson keeps moving. Bergstrom slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bergstrom wants to take a breather but Davidson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bergstrom. Davidson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bergstrom trying to control but Davidson is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ric Davidson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
No joy there for Bergstrom, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Danga de danga de dang - Bergstrom scores with a four punch combination! Davidson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Davidson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bergstrom won't allow Davidson to pass to mount. Ric Davidson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davidson in particular looking to stall. Bergstrom wants to improve his position but Davidson is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davidson trying to control from half guard but Bergstrom is working away. Bergstrom actively working from the bottom here. Bergstrom tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Davidson is keen to just control but Bergstrom is a slippery customer. Bergstrom is in trouble now - Davidson has advanced to mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davidson prevents Bergstrom from getting the reversal. Davidson wants to control the pace but Bergstrom is squirming around nicely. Davidson lands a big elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Davidson wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Davidson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bergstrom is surviving well by controlling Davidson's body position as best he can. Bergstrom really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Bergstrom has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Davidson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Bergstrom taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Davidson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ric Davidson! Ric Davidson very nearly forgot to thank Untouchable Fight Gear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
