The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Spudd. Nation does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nation keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nation lands a big head kick that sends Spudd tumbling to the mat! Nation takes a step backwards and waves Spudd back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Horse Spudd has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown by Spudd or perhaps it was just good defense by Nation which made him look bad.
Spudd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nation paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Spudd is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nation is trying to escape and Spudd transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nation is forced to tap! Nice work there by Spudd! Very nice indeed!
