Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Deacon Griggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griggs comes to the cage accompanied by Church by T-Pain. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mr Jiu Jitsu enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deacon Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mr Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiu Jitsu swings for the body but Griggs moves out of range.
Griggs loads up on a big right hand but Jiu Jitsu slips the punch.
Griggs ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jiu Jitsu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jiu Jitsu staying out of range there.
Jiu Jitsu throws a lazy right hand but Griggs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Griggs. No joy for Jiu Jitsu on that attempt.
Griggs misses with a wild body shot.
Jiu Jitsu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Griggs swivels and escapes.
Deacon Griggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Jiu Jitsu.

and Griggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Griggs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jiu Jitsu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Griggs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Jiu Jitsu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Griggs is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jiu Jitsu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Griggs stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griggs wants it to stay on the feet.

Jiu Jitsu is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Griggs's half guard.

Griggs controls Jiu Jitsu momentarily but Jiu Jitsu frees himself.

Griggs wants to control but Jiu Jitsu is keeping him busy.

Griggs is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Griggs is trying to control. Jiu Jitsu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Jiu Jitsu looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jiu Jitsu looking for subs from the bottom but Griggs mounts him!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Griggs is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jiu Jitsu is surviving well by controlling Griggs's body position as best he can.

Griggs moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jiu Jitsu has worked his arm free - good work by Jiu Jitsu!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Deacon Griggs.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Griggs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
