Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Helano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gustavo Helano is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Aldo or perhaps it was just good defense by Helano which made him look bad.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Aldo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Helano does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Junior Aldo will probably get the nod.

Aldo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Helano walks away with a smile on his face. Aldo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Helano changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

and Helano counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Helano.
Helano gets through Aldo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Aldo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aldo wants it to stay on the feet.
