Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and H Y Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago comes to the cage accompanied by Asesinos - Los Crudos. Kwon has chosen Wu Tang Clan - CREAM as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, H Y Kwon! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago moves out of range as Kwon strikes. Santiago is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kwon. Kwon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Santiago shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kwon pinned against the cage. Kwon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Santiago looks to throw the jab but Kwon is out of range. Kwon shoots in and gets a takedown into Santiago's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Santiago is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kwon defends well. Kwon postures up in Santiago's guard and throws a big left but Santiago blocks it. Santiago is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Santiago regains full guard. Nicely done. Santiago is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kwon won't allow Santiago to sweep him here. Kwon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kwon is pushing down on Santiago's leg trying to pass to half guard. Santiago is fighting to maintain full guard but Kwon has managed to sneak the leg through. Kwon scoring with strikes to the body and head. Santiago is trying to get back to full guard. Kwon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Santiago with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Santiago moves into full guard.
Kwon cracks Santiago with a solid left hand. Kwon with a flurry of punches that miss. Kwon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Santiago manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kwon has Santiago in his guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Santiago lands a couple of elbows. Kwon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Santiago stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kwon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Santiago won't allow Kwon to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kwon controls Santiago momentarily but Santiago frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santiago wants to control from the top but Kwon keeps moving. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kwon can't keep his opponent in guard - Santiago advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Santiago lands strikes from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
H Y Kwon dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kwon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Santiago tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kwon is in Santiago's guard. Santiago is looking for a triangle but Kwon pushes his legs off easily.
Kwon pushes down on Santiago's leg and manages to get into half guard. Santiago tries to roll over but Kwon keeps him under control. Kwon thows a huge punch but Santiago dodges it nicely.
Santiago works his way to full guard. Good work. Kwon won't allow Santiago to sweep him here. Kwon is looking to work some ground and pound but Santiago has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwon won't allow Santiago to sweep him here. Santiago keeping moving, preventing Kwon from controlling successfully. H Y Kwon has got the better of the ground game so far. Santiago lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kwon! Kwon can't escape the position.
Santiago tries to control but Kwon wriggling away. Santiago breaks from Kwon's wrist control and lands an elbow. Kwon can't escape the position.
Santiago wants to control the pace but Kwon is squirming around nicely. Santiago unloading with bombs! Santiago looking to control but Kwon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kwon slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Santiago scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kwon is trying to control but can't.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kwon is staying active underneath Santiago, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Santiago has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Santiago's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Santiago advances position into side control! Kwon is trying to control Santiago's posture but Santiago avoids it. Kwon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Santiago's best efforts. Santiago throwing shots but Kwon is blocking nicely. Santiago lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Santiago is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kwon wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Santiago dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Kwon throws a combination that misses and Santiago counters with a nice uppercut. H Y Kwon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kwon throws a hook but Santiago blocks it. Kwon misses with a takedown attempt - Santiago sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A slow jab from Kwon misses its intended target. Santiago thows a body shot but no joy. Santiago keeps the fight on the outside. Kwon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Santiago throws out the jab. Santiago works over Kwon's head and body with a nice combination. Kwon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kwon wants it to stay on the feet. Santiago fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kwon manages to avoid it. Kwon closes the distance and clinches. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kwon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kwon gets control of Santiago's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kwon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Santiago engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kwon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kwon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Santiago distracts Kwon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kwon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Santiago's guard. Santiago managing to control the position. Kwon preventing the sweep. Kwon throws a big right hand that misses.

Santiago bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kwon's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Santiago landing some decent shots from guard. Santiago is stalling in the full guard. Kwon has momentary wrist control but Santiago slips an elbow through the middle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Santiago accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Santiago trying to control but Kwon is working from the bottom. Santiago is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kwon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Santiago preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santiago wants to control from the top but Kwon keeps moving. Santiago stopping the sweep attempt from Kwon. Santiago scoring with some ground and pound. Santiago trying to control the position from guard on top but Kwon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kwon tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Antonio Santiago. Kwon tries to clinch up but Santiago circles away and keeps his distance. Kwon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Santiago. Santiago throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that's the end of the fight! Antonio Santiago showed his dominance in that final round. I think Santiago has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
