Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Numero Cero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malvin Maldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cero comes to the cage accompanied by Hate Me Now - Nas. Maldi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Loituma TECHNO!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Numero Cero!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Malvin Maldi!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maldi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Maldi is trying to control the action in half guard but Cero is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Maldi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cero's head.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Maldi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Maldi has picked Cero up - he's going for a ride! Maldi dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maldi uses his free foot to push down on Cero's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cero.
Cero is squirming around, avoiding Maldi's attempts to control the action.

Cero is fighting off a takedown attempt but Maldi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cero to the mat. Cero regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Maldi lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Cero does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Maldi clobbers Cero with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Maldi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cero moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
