Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Bivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Nyrkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bivar comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC Back In Black. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyrkki looks to land a right hand but Bivar moved out of range.
Bivar slips a straight right by Nyrkki.
Bivar keeps the fight on the outside.
Nyrkki blocks the body kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Bivar.
Bivar goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Bivar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nyrkki is just riding it out for now. Bivar eventually gives up the hold.
Bivar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bivar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nyrkki can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Luciano Bivar just wasn't active enough.
Bivar drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Nyrkki lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Bivar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Bivar looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bivar manages to capitalize on a mistake by Nyrkki to take his back!

Bivar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nyrkki quickly recovers to half guard.
