Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kasahiro Yama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yama has chosen Yatta as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Salvador Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kasahiro Yama!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yama has a takedown stuffed.
Yama tries to move into range but Cannon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Yama is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Yama gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Yama gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Yama apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Yama shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cannon is trying to defend but Yama finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cannon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are battling for position here. Yama manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cannon drops an elbow to the side of Yama's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cannon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yama's head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Cannon leaves Yama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Yama dives in and scores a takedown into Cannon's guard.
Cannon is trying to control the position but Yama postures up.
Cannon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
BOOM! Cannon connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Yama is in all sorts of trouble here.

Cannon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Yama is trying desperately to improve position.

Yama is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Yama wants to hold on but Cannon pushes him away.
Yama is looking to improve his position but Cannon isn't that keen on the idea.

Cannon is landing with some decent strikes but Yama is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Yama is rocked!
Cannon postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Yama in real trouble here! The ref calls for Yama to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Salvador Cannon!
A relieved looking Salvador Cannon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
