The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballardo lands a jab.
Ballardo connects with a jab.
Ballardo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ballardo. That's going to slow Payakaroon down.
An inside leg kick lands from Ballardo.
Ballardo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Payakaroon's head backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ballardo lands a big head kick that sends Payakaroon tumbling to the mat! Ballardo takes a step backwards and waves Payakaroon back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Payakaroon misses with a wild combination.
Payakaroon is still on wobbly legs! Can Ballardo finish him?
Payakaroon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Payakaroon seems to have recovered his senses.
Ballardo moves into the clinch successfully.
Ballardo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Payakaroons head.
Ballardo has Payakaroon pushed against the cage.
Ballardo misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Payakaroon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ballardo thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Payakaroon if he has to take too many more of those.

Vassago Ballardo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ballardo throws a leg kick which misses Payakaroon's front leg but catches the back leg as Payakaroon tries to avoid it.

Payakaroon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ballardo throws a low kick but Payakaroon moves out of range easily.
Ballardo wants to slow Payakaroon down by chopping away at his legs.

Ballardo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Payakaroon. That did some damage!
Ballardo jabs Payakaroon right on the nose. Payakaroon blinks but takes it well.

Ballardo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Payakaroon just misses with a punch to the body.
Ballardo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Payakaroon.
Ballardo lands with a kick to the temple. Payakaroon shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Ballardo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Ballardo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Payakaroon looks gassed!
Payakaroon has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ballardo.
Payakaroon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Ballardo is looking to slow Payakaroon down with leg kicks.
Ballardo throws a nice head kick!
Payakaroon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ballardo connects with a leg kick. Payakaroon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ballardo tests Payakaroon's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ballardo has managed to clinch.
Ballardo works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ballardo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Ballardo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Payakaroon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ballardo - the referee stops the clock and Payakaroon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ballardo. Payakaroon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ballardo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Payakaroon's calf.
Ballardo lands a right hook to the body.
Ballardo closes the distance and clinches.
Ballardo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Ballardo lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Ballardo lands a body shot in the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Still in the clinch, Ballardo scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ballardo drops Payakaroon onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Payakaroon is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Vassago Ballardo dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
