Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Riley Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Neil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin James! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neil moves out of range of the strikes. Neil slips under a jab from James. James darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Neil wants to control but James is keeping busy and won't allow it. James is looking to pass Neil's guard but actually Neil recovers to full guard. James throws a big elbow that misses. James looking to control the position here, rather than advance. James looking to sit in guard and control but Neil gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if James can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. James tries to land a sweep but no joy. James utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Neil trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Neil works over James with some ground and pound from guard. James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Neil is one step ahead there. James is looking to sweep but instead, Neil has passed into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neil missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Neil lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
James avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Neil. James is looking to get back to full guard here but Neil has managed to pass to side control instead. James tries to bench press Neil off him but Neil keeps the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neil controlling the position. James is looking to regain half guard here but Neil keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neil wants to control but James is keeping him busy. Neil working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Neil in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
James is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big shot lands for Neil! That's hurt James! Will he recover? Neil fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Riley Neil!
