Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Prudente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teixeira kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is It's A Fight. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Colin Teixeira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Prudente!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prudente avoids a punch combination nicely.
Prudente will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Prudente takes the fight into the clinch.
Prudente has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Teixeira avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Prudente looking to slow down the pace here.
Prudente pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Prudente throws a hook but Teixeira avoids it easily.
Teixeira wants to land a leg kick but Prudente is out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Prudente is defended easily by Teixeira.
Colin Teixeira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Prudente.
Prudente doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Teixeira counters with an outside leg kick.

Prudente fails in his attempt to clinch.
Teixeira throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Prudente counters with an outside leg kick.
Prudente throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Crunch! Teixeira slams his shin into Prudente's torso.
Teixeira stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Teixeira wants it to stay on the feet.
Teixeira avoids a kick to the body.
Prudente wants to clinch.
Prudente avoids the head kick by Teixeira.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Prudente shoots in but Teixeira avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Prudente has his takedown stuffed
and Teixeira counters with a nice low kick that buckles Prudente's knee momentarily.
Teixeira shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Prudente eats them both and turns towards Teixeira to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Prudente lets loose with a powerful body kick. Teixeira will feel that in the morning.
Teixeira misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Teixeira will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Prudente tries for a takedown but Teixeira circles away easily
and Teixeira counters with a good low kick that Prudente was not able to check.
Prudente looks gassed!

No joy there for Teixeira, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Prudente tries a head kick but it misses.
Teixeira looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Teixeira throws a leg kick but Prudente checks it.
Teixeira misses with a low kick.
Prudente shoots for a takedown but Teixeira saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Prudente fails in his attempt to clinch.
Prudente tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Teixeira paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Teixeira misses with the combination.

Teixeira throws a nice looking combination but Prudente bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Teixeira connects with a body shot that sends Prudente's belly button to the back.
Prudente tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Teixeira manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Prudente throws a sloppy head kick and Teixeira moves out of range easily.
Prudente connects with a single shot there.
Teixeira falls off balance throwing a combination
and Prudente counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Teixeira has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Prudente doesn't defend quickly enough and Teixeira has managed to lock this one up! Can Prudente escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Teixeira on a fantastic submission victory.
